Hello! This is jUn (stylized as such due to reasons beyond jUn's comprehension). This will be my first ever blog post, so it may be a bit briefer than the usual (will it?)

Now that we are halfway through November, a month has passed since the release of The Nian-Xi Chronicles' first demo. Reception of it was rather positive, and we got past the 100 views mark! It may not seem like much, but to me it means a lot.

Now onto the updates, as much progress has been made since the first demo was released.

-New Title Screen has been added.

Simple enough, I'm continuing working on taking out the RTP and that includes the title screen itself. Presentation goes a long way.

Now, the biggest part of the update. The third floor. The floor itself is larger than the previous, featuring dark tiles this time. Designing it was fun, basing myself of the likes of how Wizardry and early MegaTen tend to use those. Besides that, you could consider the third floor to be a combination of every challenge presented in the previous floors, making for a hopefully interesting exploration.

Every enemy in the floor is fully designed as well, making for 11 new enemies, each with their own unique moveset. No palette swaps this time, either. 

-Minor Text/Bug Fixes

Self-explanatory. Besides fixing a few skill-related issues (namely Pierlis duplicating itself...), I also went back to the earlier dialogue and reformatted to better make use of the textbox space. Originally I used portraits for the text, but since they're removed, there was no need to cut the sentences anymore. It should make reading a tiny bit easier...

That should be all for this update! I'm expecting the third floor to drop by the end of the month, if not by early in December. I hope to see you by then. The first two floors are already available for download too, if you are interested in trying out Nian-Xi Prelude now!
